How bout, this girl whos never had bad luck until her 16th birthday when everything goes wrong.And a few days later she finds out there was a curse/virus in the family and if she cant stop it the curse/virus will spread, possibly wiping out the entire human race.And she can only stop it because the 16th member of the family, which is her inherited the power that could only defeat it, but she doesnt know about it until its almost too late, and she has only 16 days to solve it.

What about A school Bus that fells off a cliff in the first day of school (but that no one dies), and the main character who is normal has to deal with everyone else (stupid cheerleaders, nerds, sickos, Emos etc.)
