In my english class we had many discussions on this topic. Ironically, we had just done a four day no media experiment. When I heard they had found his body, I nearly cried. His parents must feel dead themselves. However, if they had taken action and dealt with his pstchotic obsession before it became a huge issue, they would have saved themselves so much grief and sorrow. He was likely so influenced by the game that he thought that he could survive actual cold as he could virtual cold and other things simulated in the game. It was a rality shock because it shows how our society has deteriated

i'm getting to the point that the game wether it's violent or not couldn't do that. this is me just throwing random things out but i'm sure he had family problems... unless you new him? or did you just here his name on the radio? any way... one posiblity is maybe... don't get mad... but maybe his parents killed him? there is a case just like this but with a girl that happend near were i live her mom killed her! any way what you say is very true.

If any kid who was attached to his console like Brandon was, then yes he would get angry, maybe run away. The fact that it may have been because of his addiction to the games does not mean it's the games fault. It's all about his feelings, and his thoughts which have been revolving around the emotion which he found in the game.

The whole thing about violent video games should not be a big deal. Yes video games do make kids more suseptible to thinking some violence is not too bad, but the point is he died, not because he decided to go on a gun spree, not because he did anything violent, it was an unfortunate event.

The fact is, if Brandon did run away because of that then he should've just blown off some steam then returned home. The terrible part is he died, and imagine how his parents feel.We shouldn't be critisizing him, any kid could have that happen to them. It's a shame that he died, and that his parents have to go through this.
