so just a refresher...
and then-
-there was a brilliant flash of light, which stayed imprinted on the insides of my eyelids for a few moments.
a low growl escaped from..her? throat.
she was still glowing, and was holding a crossbow. she had what seemed to be wings behind her. she was crouching, poised to jump, and her posture and position somehow made me think that she had jumped or fallen from something.
before i could do anything, she was up on her feet and had notched an arrow on her bow. the arrow was..on fire.
and then she fired..but not at me.

as she grabbed me, i oddly didn't feel afraid. she pulled me up, and i dared to glance behind me.i was sickend and scared by what i saw, but i dint have time to pull away.
she was gone as quickly as she had arrived, but taking me with her. i felt an odd gentle pressure on my forehead, and i blacked out as we faded into the blinding whiteness..
