in my alice in wonderland review you might remember i said i said that i was dissapointed that some of my favorite character from the book wern't put in the movie like the turtle, the gryphon and the duchess but now i'll tell you who i think should have played the characters if they were put in the movie.
1. i think that peter lorre' should have played the mock-turtle because he has a slow, sympothetic, kindly voice that i imagine coming out of the turtle's mouth everytime i read the book and i can see him influencing the animation.
2. i'd cast paul frees(doing his mabruk voice) as the gryphon because he's good as stuck-up,quirky,yet stern characters and that's what the gryphon is and paul frees kind of looks like john tennial's illustrations
3. for the voice of the white-knight i would cast hans conried(who you might for doing the voice of the of captain hook) becuase he has that warm, distinced, husky, beffutled voice that i think would suit the white knight.
4. and for the child abusing, dual personalited duchess i'd cast the late and certainly great eleanor audley(voice of lady-tremaine and maleficent) she'd be a great at the threatening, monsterous side and the kindly, tender side of the duchess and i could imagine her inspiring the animators.
tell me what you think of my choices and come back tommorow when i'll review the 1966 epic winnie the pooh. bye guys
