could think to do was pull him off
them, in the hopes that breaking the
connection would stop the darkness.

oh...my...GOD! The montage is so epic, I can just imagine the writing that would have went with it. I love how you made the eyes vacant, and possessed. and even more so, I love how you changed the speach bubbles! this story is THE most amazing I've read so far.
