back in early march of 2008 when i
discovered this strip i jumped on it
like a bad habit and was delighted
to find many interesting and
wonderful people here that i had
never met before. i had instant new
'friends' that i collected because
it was fun and new and everyone
was so darn nice.
i didn't have any online pals that
i dragged into the site, only because
i really didn't have any online pals
that would appreciate this genre.
lord knows i tried.
but in the past i have passed barriers
between online communities and have felt
the wrath and anguish of new facebookers
that were old-school myspacers
and lost 'people' from transitions.
did they change?
was it me?
was it something i said?
what happened?
well in order to understand this...
you have to understand that you
can be a 'friend' with someone and
have nothing in common with them
except for the site that you both
frequent. you can have no underlying
foundation and trust them as a
'person', but when the scenery changes
you find that they are completely
different from your expectations.
SHOULD YOU FEEL
BAD ABOUT THIS?
you'll get more 'friends'
along the way.
