Then, as the mayor and his council were trying to decide on what to do freaky boy jumped in, and got rid of the rats for them, by blowing on his flute-thing. When they rufused to pay him all the due money, he got ticked, and used his flute to take away all the children...never giving them back. The only child left was a boy with a lame foot, who told the people what he heard in the pipers song. The mayor tried to track him down, and failed. The end.
