hey everybody! buddy here, with some important tips
on making blurbs!
what's a blurb, you ask?
it's one of those little graphics
you see on page one -
like theme of the day,
remix challenge, etc.
theme of the day:
blurbs
recently we've added a feature
that lets you create your
own blurbs - and you've
already made lots of new ones!
but... a lot of
them won't get
used. why, you
ask?
theme of the day:
something
because they're too hard to read!
take a look at page one, and you'll see
that for the most part, the blurbs are
appearing half-sized.
so, a blurb with lots
of graphics and
teeny-tiny text is
going to be practically
impossible to read-
and won't get
featured.
so, if you want your blurbs to get featured, put more focus on the title - make sure the text is really big and choose colours that make it stand out from the background art! same goes for series promo blurbs!
tip: creating a drop-shadow effect
really helps too!
theme of the day:
clarity
clarity
whether it's a blurb for a theme, a series,
or whatever - the key is that anyone
should be able to know what it's
about with just a quick glance.
so, keep making those blurbs,
make 'em clear, and maybe you'll
see your blurb
on page one!
what are you still doing here? go make some blurbs!
