My brother was born in Hiroshima, his friend's mother died when that happened. Its really sad that the human race will kill each other. We should be working together to help fix the planet.

So, so sad. Yes, it is always the innocent who get the worst end of wars.

It is always the innocent that suffer the most from war...those who wage the war sit in their safe places and watch the carnage...

Uzi, luckily there are "only thousands" (still thousands too many, though). To come close to experiencing this personally, see Miyazaki's "Graveyard of the Fireflies". It's totally unlike his other films, unlike anyone's other films, in fact.

There are millions of nuclear weapons in the world and they're not going anywhere. Eventually, no matter how hard manunkind tries, the contaminants will leak into the environment and become a bain to life on the planet. That's if we're lucky.

The reality of war is death, and in it, no life has been spared, but with the self-restraint of certain people, this tragic event shall be averted once more, as it has every day since that fateful morning in 1945.
